Put a ring on it!

The 2010 wedding season is well under way, and this is about the time when many couples are putting the finishing touches on their big day.  One of those little details that is often left until the end of the planning is the ring pillow—or, should I say, the ring vessel.  Couples are getting crafty (often literally so!) and coming up with fantastic alternatives to the traditional design.

Here are a few creations I adore.  All are from various sellers on Etsy, and each design reflects a unique style, from woodsy simplicity to classic elegance.  Which is your favourite?  I can’t decide!

This collage seems easiest to explain in columns… so:

Left Column… TOP: a simple and very cute clay dish by Wise Impressions; BOTTOM: Mini Haystack by Bragging Bags.

Centre Column… TOP: Bird’s nest by Mackensley Designs; MIDDLE: Muslin handstitched pillow by Jen Carres of Clover Lane Boutique; BOTTOM: Green silk dupioni pillow with satin ribbon and antique silver leaves by Woomi.

Right Column… TOP: Classic with a twist—a white silk dupioni pillow with a huge bow and ostrich and goose feather embellishments by Belles and Crystals; SECOND: Deep blue stoneware with fluted edges and an organza ribbon by Dawn Dalto; THIRD: Navy blue silk dupioni with satin ribbon and wool-blend hydrangea by Felted Tarts; BOTTOM: Simple earthenware with “Two Branches, One Tree” inscription by Paloma’s Nest.

Hugs, Jenna
